If you have a concrete patio, it has probably gotten dirty over time. You can clean it so that you can get it looking as good as possible. Clear and Sweep

The first thing that you should do is clear off your patio so that you have a completely blank surface to work with. After you clear it off, you should get a broom and sweep it off. Sweeping will help get rid of all the debris on the patio. It can also help to loosen up surface dirt that is caked onto your patio. Getting that kind of stuff off your patio will make your job easier because you aren't going to end up with mud while you're trying to clean. 

Rinse

After you have swept the patio off, you should grab your hose and give your patio a nice rinse. You aren't really trying to clean anything with this particular rinse; you just want to rinse off anything that you brought up when you were sweeping your patio. The more you get rid of now, the better it will be when you get the power washer out. 

Power Washer

This is the time when you pull out the concrete cleaning solution and the pressure washer. Most pressure washers have a container where you can put the cleaning solution so that when the water runs through the washer, it will go into the container first. That will let the soap get to the concrete under pressure, which will let it get into the dirt and stains and get everything clean. When you are cleaning, clean your concrete one section at a time. That will let you cover the whole patio without missing a spot. When you have cleaned the whole thing, it's time for you to rinse it again. Use the pressure washer this time so that you can be sure that you are getting everything rinsed off and off the patio. When your patio is dry, you may want to consider sealing it, which will make it easier to clean your patio the next time.
